March to May is the best time: beautiful skies, rhododendrons in blossom, and days that are not too hot. October and November are just fine with crisper mountain views after monsoon. If you are into the cold, December to February sees snow in regions like Lachung and Yumthang; however, it varies depending on the year. For Meghalaya, it is the season from October to April. If you want to view the waterfalls at their best though, the monsoon months are wonderful, only wetter. Arunachal varies greatly with altitude.
