BEFORE YOU PACK
Frequently Asked Questions
What tour packages does PicoVoyage offer?
We plan journeys through the Himalayas and Northeast India: Darjeeling, Sikkim, Bhutan, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh, plus a few lesser-known sites in between. You can travel as a couple, with family, friends or on a small group departure. Can't find the trip you want. Tell us. We rework most of our packages to accommodate the traveler anyway.
2. When should I visit Darjeeling and Sikkim?
March to May is the best time: beautiful skies, rhododendrons in blossom, and days that are not too hot. October and November are just fine with crisper mountain views after monsoon. If you are into the cold, December to February sees snow in regions like Lachung and Yumthang; however, it varies depending on the year. The monsoon (June to September) is moist, and landslides can block the roadways. first duta Question er ans
3. Can I get a customized Darjeeling and Sikkim package?
Yes, and most people are. Give us your dates, how many days you have, your budget, and the type of hotel you want. Want to spend less time in Darjeeling and more in Gangtok? Want to stay at a homestay instead of a resort? Instead of giving you a fixed path, we’ll create the itinerary around that.
4. Which places in Northeast India are worth visiting?
It is dependent upon your taste. Gangtok, Darjeeling, North Sikkim and Tawang for mountains & monasteries. For waterfalls, living root bridges and crystal clear rivers, visit Shillong, Cherrapunji and Dawki in Meghalaya. If you don’t know, tell us how many days you have and what type of vacation you want, and we’ll recommend an itinerary that won’t waste your time on the road.
5. Do your Bhutan packages include hotels and sightseeing?
Yes. Our vacations to Bhutan might include accommodation, a vehicle with a driver, sightseeing and daily planning, mainly in and around Thimphu, Paro and Punakha. Rules of entry differ for Indian and international travelers; therefore, permits and fees depend on who is traveling. We will inform you exactly what you need before you book.
6. What’s the best time for Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh?
For Meghalaya, it is the season from October to April. If you want to view the waterfalls at their best though, the monsoon months are wonderful, only wetter. Arunachal varies greatly with altitude. Tawang may be snow-covered in winter, but the lower reaches are comfortable. So the ideal month depends on where you go in Arunachal. Tell us where, and we’ll tell you when to go.
7. Are your trips good for families and couples?
Yes. We have in mind all sorts of travelers – honeymooners desiring calm stays, families with kids or aging parents needing an easier pace, groups of friends looking for more excitement. We tailor the hotels, the travel times, the attractions to fit who’s going
8. How do I book a trip with PicoVoyage?
Submit an inquiry on the website with your travel dates, number of travelers, and what you hope to do. Our team will respond with a suggested schedule and pricing. Change what you don't like, and after you're happy with the plan, confirm.
